Ident Research:

Paramount's mountain logo is the oldest surviving studio emblem dating back to 1912, and is believed to be based upon Ben Lomond Mountain in Utah, although Peru’s Artesonraju is a closer fit. Paramount's Ident is effective for a number of reasons. They have chosen to use such objects as stars and mountains. Both of these emphasise height which symbolises the studios greater ability. The mountain represents how Paramount are on top of the competition. They seemed to have passed the sky itself and their limit is endless. All this gives the audience a sense that this studio is the most powerful.

20th Century Fox uses as a logo which was developed in 1935, and received a series of revisions before being standardised in 1994 with CGI, but only after a failed attempt to actually build a live action version of the monument. It is also effective in allowing a viewer to remember the ident, which promotes the studio. The logo's large and golden structure, connotes royalty and grandeur.
Like the Paramount ident, the Lionsgate logo contains clouds and looks almost heavenly. This again shows the grandeur of the studio. It has a particularly majestic theme, with a large amount of light , contrasted by the crisp darkness of the title.
The Spyglass Ident uses very minimalistic design, which is related to the title of the organisation. What is noticeable is the use of colour contrast within the imagery. The use of white writing seems to work well against the darker colours of black and dark blue. This also works well in reverse, demonstrated by the dark figure holding the spyglass, creating the foreground figure.
