Props:
We needed a number of props in our extract, particularly effective were those which added elements of superstition, such as tarot cards and candles, which made the room seem more ritualistic. The candles were, however, cut from our final sequence, and only one tarot card is now visible.

Candle light contrasts the room's darkness

These acts as an omen of the future

Makes the murder seem pre-meditated. It also adds a ritualistic feel to the murder.

We used a doll to personify the evil in the room. It's child-like innocence contrasts with the creepiness of the room, making the doll seem almost evil.

The fake blood was bought in case we needed our body to be cut, however this was not used in the end.
