Sound and Light:

For our sound we used an external microphone to record dialogue. For most examples of dialogue we recorded the lines separately, then dubbed this over the video. This was possible as we had very few lines of dialogue and on a number of these occasions, the characters were not seen delivering these lines.

In terms of our music, we wanted a soundtrack which would build suspense, particularly during the scene in the cabin, as this is common with movies of the thriller genre.

For our lighting, we needed low-key lighting in the sequence which takes place within the cabin. This adds suspense as it is unclear what is in the room, as the audience can't see everything. This does make it difficult to have the same lighting in various shoots, however this can be fixed in editing.

On the other hand, the lighting at the start of our sequence will be natural, with a UV filter over the lens, in order to prevent too much light from ruining a shot.
